Before: On a monthly and quarterly basis, two HR managers at a transportation company collected information on the performance of truck drivers. The information was collected manually from three systems (attendance accounting, fuel consumption management, and vehicle movement tracking) for cross-checking and calculating truck drivers’ KPIs. This process took about eight hours to complete. The report was then transferred to the payroll department, where an accountant spent up to six hours each month entering the information from the excel file into the Wagepoint payroll system.

 

Now: Two days before the month-end closure, an RPA bot generates a truck drivers’ performance report and sends it to the HR managers by email. The HR managers double-check the report and send it back to the bot, which then enters the data from the excel report into the payroll system.
